The Story

Hey, I'm Jochem Van Uytfanghe — most people just call me Jay. I started builtbyjo because I kept seeing the same problem over and over again.

Dental clinics losing patients simply because no one could get to the phone fast enough. Front desks were stuck between the patient standing at the counter and the phone ringing off the hook. Something always got missed.

I watched a busy practice lose three new patients in a single week because the calls came in while the front desk was with someone else. A practice manager told me she loses sleep over the after-hours enquiries that go to voicemail and never call back. And every clinic was answering the same questions — your opening hours, your prices, whether you're taking new patients — dozens of times a day.

The technology to solve this has existed for a while, but it was always expensive, complicated, or built for big enterprises. I thought: why can't a local dental clinic have the same always-on front desk as a Fortune 500 company?

So I built it. AI that actually works for dental clinics, at prices that make sense.

How I Work

builtbyjo isn't a big agency with account managers and support tickets. It's me. When you sign up, you work with me directly. I set up your AI, I configure it for your clinic, and I'm the one you message when you have questions.

I know that sounds like it doesn't scale. And you're right — it doesn't. That's intentional. I'd rather help 50 clinics really well than 500 clinics poorly. Every AI I build gets my full attention.
